The Agave and Dasylirion Spirit Ontology (ADSO) is a Semantic Web Ontology for the description of distilled beverages based on cooked agave and dasylirion, such as mezcal, tequila, bacanora and sotol.
The production of the predominantly Mexican traditional spirits based on cooked agave and dasylirion involves a complex series of steps and is governed by several laws, setting forth regulations for the production process, including production tools, geographical regions, quality standards, plant types to be used, etc. The taste profile of these beverages strongly depends on the production process and circumstances. Computer aided classification may serve the industry, distributors as well as aficionados.
The Agave and Dasylirion Spirit Ontology (ADSO) is a Semantic Web Ontology for the detailed description of agave and dasylirion spirits and their production.
The Mezcaloteca Sensory Characteristics Vocabulary is an extension to ADSO conceptualising the sensory characteristics of traditional mezcal as identified by Mezcaloteca.
The current version of the vocabulary can be found here (ttl). For the OWLDoc documentation click here.
